Devon has the potential of becoming my favourite part of the UK, although it would be hard to beat Western Highlands (and possibly the Shetland Islands, but I can't confirm the latter because I haven't been there yet). Delightful place with plenty of beautiful outdoor locations and charming little towns. Roads are awful and resulted in a flat tyre, but that's not much to moan about really.

We stayed at AirBnB for the first time and it was just lovely. Our hosts were wonderfully hospitable, friendly, approachable and helpful when needed. I do recommend this place (https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/1788223) - it offered great value for money.

I could spend a lot of time with Kasia and her camera, so I had a great few days off.

We experienced everything in just five days:

Gorgeous shoreline and dramatic skies

Which brought rain, hale and strongest winds I've ever seen

It's so blowy that even trees don't grow straight in Devon...

Did I mention spectacular coastline?

And beautiful beaches (this is sunrise, I didn't make it easy)

Kasia likes to be in the open (just like every puppy)

In Salcombe - our new favourite little town by the sea (her famous croissant smile)

The sea mean beaches...

Beaches mean sea shells. Sea shells mean happy Kasia.

And soaring seagulls.

I was happy too, because I found a lot of puddles.

We met some interesting people. Ken was on his hike around the Island (I mean England + Scotland). I was very sad to read this morning that he had to quit his challenge due to injury :-/ https://www.facebook.com/coast17/

Lastly we also spent some quality time laughing a lot with Ania and Mik in Plymouth.
